Every item is made in Lithuania and sold on its own somewhere on the internet for more than it's worth. Together they're a sauna — which is the point.
Dried birch whisk

Bound from spring birch and dried slowly through the summer. Soak it, steam it, and beat the heat into your skin. The whole ritual, in one object.
Aroma oil, 100 ml

Eucalyptus and birch. Three drops into the water in your ladle — never straight onto the stones. The card in the box says this too.
Turned wooden ladle

Aspen, turned by hand, with a handle long enough to keep your knuckles out of the steam. Aspen because it stays cool when everything around it doesn't.

How it's done
The Baltic sauna is a sequence, not a room.
Four movements, repeated two or three times over an evening. Get the order right and the heat does the work for you.

10–15 minutes
Heat
Hat on before you sit down. High bench if you like it fierce, low bench if you don't — there can be twenty degrees between them. Breathe through your nose and stop talking.

Three drops
Steam
Fill the ladle, add three drops of oil to the water, then pour it slowly across the stones. The wave of heat that comes back is the whole reason you're here.
Oil never goes directly on the stones. It scorches, it smells burnt, and it can catch.

Soak 10 minutes first
Whisk
Warm water until the leaves go soft and smell green. Brush first, from shoulders down to feet, then strike — firmly enough to sting a little. Then do someone else's back and let them do yours.
IV
As long as you were hot
Cool
Cold water, cold air, a lake, snow — whatever you have. Then sit still and do nothing at all for at least as long as you spent inside. Skipping this part is skipping the sauna.
Then go back to I. Two or three rounds is an evening.
Where it's from
Made where the sauna never went out of fashion, because it was never a fashion.
Lithuania has been heating pirtis for as long as anyone has written things down here. The hats, the whisks, the ladles and the oil are all made by small workshops within a few hours' drive of Vilnius, and we buy from them directly.
We're not claiming that makes the objects better than anyone else's. It makes them the real ones — and it means we can tell you exactly who made each thing in the box.

- Pressed wool felt, undyed, from a mill that has been making them since the Soviet years.

- Aspen, turned on a lathe, finished with nothing at all. Wood that stays cool.

Not included, on purpose: the wooden bucket. It triples the shipping weight for something most saunas already have. There's a question about that below.
Questions
The ones people actually ask.
Yes — nothing in the box is specific to a type of sauna. Barrel, indoor electric, wood-fired outbuilding: the hat, whisk, ladle, oil and timer all work the same way. The only thing you need that isn't in here is a bucket.
Left out deliberately. A wooden bucket is bulky and heavy enough to double what you'd pay for the box, and most saunas are sold with one. If yours wasn't, buy it locally — it's the one item that's genuinely not worth shipping across a continent.
No. Three drops into the water in your ladle or bucket, then that water goes on the stones. Oil poured straight onto hot stones scorches, smells burnt, and can catch fire. This is the single most common mistake and it's printed on the card in the box.
Three to five sessions if you rinse it and hang it to dry after each one, fewer if you leave it in a wet heap. It's a consumable — that's the nature of a bundle of leaves. Treat the first one as a lesson in how to look after the second.
